Mr Ang Poo Guan, Malaysian, male, was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Malpac Holdings Berhad on 1 March 2002. He also holds directorships in a few subsidiary companies of the Group. He is a member of the Investment Committee of the Company. He graduated from the University of Malaya in 1972 with a Bachelor of Agric. Sc. (Hon.) degree. He joined a plantation management company for a short stint before joining an agricultural development bank in 1973. In 1980 he joined a foreign commercial bank where he rose to the position of Senior Vice President. In 1996, he left the banking sector to join Malpac Management Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of Malpac Holdings Berhad, where he was appointed Chief Executive Officer cum Director. He is also a director of several private limited companies. Mr Ang holds 168,500 (0.22%) shares directly in Malpac Holdings Berhad. He does not have any family relationship with any director and/or major shareholder of Malpac Holdings Berhad, nor any conflict of interest with the Company. He has no convictions for any offences within the past five years or any public sanction or penalty imposed by the regulatory bodies during the financial year.
